Jane Thornton Wade

Jane Thornton Wade, 61, of Madison Heights, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Steve E. Wade, Sr.

Born August 20, 1949 in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Richard Thornton and Eulalia Claytor Ricketts and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Thornton. Mrs. Wade was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Margaret Beaddles (James Phillips) and Robert Thornton, and Tony Wade and wife, Karen, all of Lynchburg and Steve Wade, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Madison Heights; son-in-law, Richard Beaddles of Madison Heights; twelve grandchildren, Jason Price, Ricky Beaddles, Cory Beaddles, Samantha Beaddles, Robby Thornton, Jonathan Thornton, Landon Wade, Kimberly Wade, Nikolas Warren, Olivia Wade, William Rogers, and Kaitlyn Thornton; a great-grandchild, Alexis Thornton; special sister-in-law, Cathy Hall; special friend, Jean Thurman and her mother-in-law, Joyce Thornton of Richmond.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Tree of Life Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Snowden officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., today, November 16, 2010 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel and other times at the residence.
