She was born in Iowa on February 10, 1961, daughter of the late Arild Christensen and the late Edna Mae Christensen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Geoffrey Bell.
Janelle was retired from Horizon Behavioral Health and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was very active with the youth. She enjoyed running, was a member of the Lynchburg Pops Band, and had a great love of dogs.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Maurice A. Bell; a son, Thomas Bell (Mekenzie Schmitt) and three siblings, Julie Christensen, Clark Christensen, and Carolyn Christensen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 18th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The service will be followed by a reception and a time of fellowship with the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (donate.nationalmssociety.org), the Neurofibromatosis Network (nfnetwork.org/fundraising), and/or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (https://afspwalks.donordrive.com/teams/394293)
