Janet Pease Hughes, 76, of Vinton, died, Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Gerald A. Hughes. Born October 7, 1935, in Cannonsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis A. Pease and the late Janet D. Smith Pease.
Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and a member of Thrasher United Methodist Church in Vinton.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by one daughter, Jini Hughes-Brown.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hughes is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Kenny and her husband Timothy of Hardy; five grandchildren, Jacob Mickel, Brian Hughes and his wife Shayna, Adam Kenny, Jarrod Kenny and Blade Brown; and great-grandchildren, Bailey Mickel, Ashton Hughes, Noble Mickel and Ryder Mickel; and special friends, Kathy and Frank Fink.
