

Born July 24, 1936 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Lena Godsey Mayberry and was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. She was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church and for many years served as a volunteer at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Mrs. Jones is survived by one daughter, Audrey Lindsay and husband Bill of Lynchburg; one son, Jerry Jones and wife Kathy of Forest; nine grandchildren, Shane Lindsay and wife Amanda of Lynchburg, Brooke Stanley and husband Brandon of Concord, Brad Lindsay of Alexandria and his fiancée Lindsay Streeper, Jeremy Jones of Lynchburg, Ashleigh Lineberry and husband Addison of Forest, Amber Rogers and husband, Joey of Huddleston, Brandi Jones, Brian Jones, and Zachary Jones, all of Forest and three great-grandchildren, Nathan Pickerd, Parker Lineberry, and Jackson Lineberry, all of Forest.
Mrs. Jones is also survived by one brother, Sonny Mayberry and wife Sarah of Lynchburg; three sisters, Helen Adamson, Margaret Layne, and Dot Williams and husband Neal, all of Lynchburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
