Born on February 25, 1961 in Tucson, Arizona, he was the son of the late George Robert Cleary and the late Joyce Kopsi Cleary
Jeff was the kid riding his bike across Tucson streets to attend a better school than the neighborhood that was home to him had to offer. In addition to superior academic opportunities Jeff became a star distance runner for the new school. His obsession for learning and physical achievement prepared him for his niche in life as a Master Plumber with his own company JMC Mechanical, which operated in Colorado. He also managed major construction projects various other companies.
A great love was fishing. A passion shared by wife Missy. Who, as a life-long Virginian, knew all of the good trout springs and lakes offering the most promise for of a good catch. He took great joy, whether fishing in salt water or fresh in changing the rules about who would clean the fish. When he could no longer be active fishing, his delight was to sit of the balcony of a hotel in Virginia Beach and enjoy Ocean scenes and spectacular sunrises. Among Jeff's gifts was his ability to make friends and keep them. The common comment from his friends was: "He always made me laugh and had a way of making you feel better about yourself. He was a really good guy."
Although being unable to attend church during the final years of his illness, Jeff loved his Bible, where he found strength, comfort, and assurance of that better land awaiting us.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by a brother, Tim Cleary.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Missy Cleary; three children, Brittnay Baltazar and husband Mike, Phillip Cleary and wife Kalynn, and Benjamin Cleary; three step-children, Christopher Cernigliaro and wife Michele, Andrew Cernigliaro, and Brooke Cernigliaro; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Dan Cleary and wife Elna, Bob Cleary and wife Diane, Joe Cleary and wife Kim, Corey Cleary, Darla McKenzie, Greg McKenzie, and Gena McKenzie.
