He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood Lawson McCormick and Evelyn Goin McCormick and his brother-in-law, Jimmie G. Simpson.
He is survived by his brother, Anthony V. McCormick and his wife Sharon; sister, Kimberly M. Simpson and brothers, Steven B. McCormick and Jason T. McCormick. He was also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Jeff never met a stranger and was a friend to many.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
