Jesse Lee Pitman

Jesse was born in Lynchburg, June 25, 1986. He was a 2004 graduate of Amherst County High School and was a mechanic at Precision Auto. Jessie was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, April Nicole Pitman; two children, Makayla Lynn Pitman and Joshua Lee Pitman; his mother and step-father, Lisa Underwood Desmond and Arthur Desmond; his father and step-mother, James L. Pitman and Sylvia Pitman; one brother, Zachary Michael Pitman and his fiancé Felicia LeBlanc; four sisters, Samantha Dawn Pitman, Crystal Lynn Pitman, Miranda Lynn Desmond and Jennifer Joyce Conerly; six step-brothers, Travis Scott Desmond, Cody Austin Desmond, Jacob Nicholas Desmond, Jonathan Patrick Rinehart, Mark Anthony Rinehart and Paul Joseph Rinehart; his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Phyllis Underwood and his paternal grandparents, Harold and Thelma Pitman. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Fred Underwood and his uncle, Michael Harold Pitman.

A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. David Heerspink officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the funeral home.
