

Born in Campbell County, November 1, 1934, he was the son of the late W.R. Tibbs and Nena Rucker Tibbs. He was a heavy equipment operator and had been employed by Anderson and Shorter and retired from May Brothers Excavating. He was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Rucker Alexander Tibbs, George Robert Tibbs and John Russell Tibbs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Paul G. Tibbs and his wife Debbie, Sharon H. Tibbs and Alfred “Buck” Tibbs all of Forest.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Virginia Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Parker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
