You were the first boy I ever loved. Thank you for showing me what unconditional love truly meant over the years to see our love grow from something that was once romance into a friendship. A kind of love that would last a lifetime. Thank you for giving me the gift of your family. Looking back, its funny how stubborn we were God had a plan greater than we knew. I am beyond grateful to have seen the man that you became, one of unshakable faith. You will continue to carry-on throughout life in our hearts and in our memories. From the times you, me and Chris were getting in trouble as teenagers to the times you worked hard to provide for your two beautiful children you loved so much. I remember meeting you for the first time when I was 14. I was in middle school and you were in high school. We were walking up the big hill from the football field, I was super excited to have met you because you were a football player and I was working hard to make the school cheerleading team. You captured my heart with your laughter and personality, and instantly I had a crush on you. Who knew that following year I would become a cheerleader and get the privilege of cheering for you not only on the sidelines in football, but also in life. You meant the world to me. Whether it was dancing with you in the kitchen, riding down a back road, playing country music way to loud, going to a horse show, staying up all night, talking about life or listening to the train go by; you will always have a special place in my heart. I am going to miss you. You had been on my mind and I had that feeling like we were going to run into each other and to catch up about life, your kids, family, and I was super excited to introduce you to my fiancé Tim and his kids. I had no idea that God was going to be calling you to heaven, I would give anything for just a little more time with you. So you will have to save me one of those big  “Bare” hugs of yours and you also owe me a dance in heaven! I love you Woody.

I went to school with Woody. He played football and loved to hunt and fish.  I remember him always joking, smiling, laughing and having fun! He will be missed and always remembered by his family and friends!

To the family and friends of "Woody" Bare, my deepest condolences for the loss of such a precious, young soul. I never met him, but have learned we shared a common interest; the support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I will certainly make my donation in his honor.

I only knew Woody for a few days but found in him a kindred soul.  We spent some time together discussing some of the most private information of our lives. His transparency and honesty were unexpected and refreshing. The depth of his love for his family, especially his wife, was deeply moving!
I found that he was a Man who was easy to love because he held nothing back in giving his love. I am blessed to have known Woody and pray God's infinite Grace and Love upon his soul.

Woody was one of my favorite friends of my son, Paul.  He and Woody would just make me laugh, and I cannot think of Woody without smiling.  I was so sad and heavy in my heart to know of his passing.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.  He will be missed by many.

we were so saddened to hear of the loss of your father.  Our family made a donation to St. Jude in memory of your dad and and in honor of you.  We  hope you know that your friendship and kindness to Owen during baseball meant so much.  Reading the memories of your dad, it seems evident that you will carry him in your smile and through your loving nature.  We will be keeping you and your family in prayer.

Woody was such a wonderful man.  He always made me laugh and I was impressed with how much he cared for his family and his work.
I am a better person for having known him and I will carry his memory with me forever.  RIP Woody, you are far from forgotten but you will be missed.

I taught Woody during my first year teaching,  and have never forgotten him.  I often ran into him over the years and watched him grow up.  I was so delighted to find out I had his son, John, in my class this year.  I'll keep a watch out over your boy,  Woody! 

I remember growing up and Woody and his father trucked over and shoed our horses. One of my favorite teams. Rest In Peace my friend!

I know from our history of hunting together that your bravery and positive attitude will sustain you through this grief. Woody always had a smile when we talked. He loves his family very much and is loved by many people. It was really good to see him every time  as we would discuss different things. He enjoyed life , he was a blessing to this world . Now he is a blessing in Heaven.

Rest In Peace Woody. I didn’t get enough time with you, just eating steaks and talking to you on the phone last Monday. It’s crazy how quick life changes. You’re a wonderful father and friend. Praise God for being believers may his wife and children remember all good and allow Woody's good to be past on through them. We all know thats what he would want. I’m so sorry for your loss and we are continuing to keep you all in our prayers. I have several memories of Woody, I remember first meeting Woody when he was 14yrs old and remember that he was always so full of energy and most always had a grin on his face and cracking jokes! The last time I saw and got to speak to him was at one of Hunter’s last baseball games at BHS! Woody was such a talented young man  from hunting,fishing, and then carrying on in the family business as a Farrier! It was evident that he was a great father and loved his children the most!! It is comforting to know that Woody is in rejoicing heaven with all of his family that have gone before us and that we too will see him again one day.
