

Born in Pittsville, WI, April 4, 1938, he was a son of the late Joe Roland Schooley and Edna Anderson Schooley. He retired from Miller Brewing Co. in 1995. In 2005, he and his wife moved to Lynchburg where they became active members of Thomas Road Baptist Church. John loved to volunteer at the information desk at Thomas Road and he enthusiastically shared the gospel every chance he could. He also loved to travel with his wife and he enjoyed frequent visits to Milwaukee, WI to visit his daughters and granddaughters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Brzezinski and her husband Randy and Susan Gouin and her husband Michael all of Pewaukee, WI; three step children, Cheryl Blankenship and her husband John of Lynchburg, Jeff Provost and his wife Connie of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Kevin Provost of Woodbury, MN; three brothers, Ronald Schooley and his wife Rolonda of Milwaukee, WI, Terry Schooley and his wife Betty of Pahrup, NV and Dan Schooley and his wife Debbie of Menomonee Falls, WI; three sisters, Donna Stricker and husband Bob of Sussex, WI, Janice Genett and her husband James of Marshfield, WI and Sonja Hauseman of Brookfield, WI and eight grandchildren, Chloe Hess and husband David, Jessie and Maggie Brzezinski, Nick Gouin, Stephani Gouin, Nicole Provost, Jessica and Erica Blankenship.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
