Joe was a NYC firefighter for over 27 years. He protected, served and saved many lives over those years as a firefighter. He was truly one of the Brave. He enjoyed gardening, birdwatching and nature. He was a wonderful artisan/craftsman and carpenter. He created everything and anything out of wood, he especially loved making clocks. He also enjoyed singing and wherever he resided, the church choir was something he was a part of. Joe was a very active member of Mountain View United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir for a number of years. He was a devout Christian who loved his Lord and loved being a part of his church, a place where he found Peace and Joy, serving with his brothers and sisters in Christ. Joe was a devout family man, married 61 years to the love of his life, Barbara. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, always there to lend an ear, give advice, share a story and always there to share a laugh and a smile. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him but his love and memory will forever be in our hearts.
A celebration service will be held on Sunday, October 16th, 2022 at 3pm at Mountain View United Methodist Church.
