Born April 19, 1935 in Rustburg, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Malcolm and Annie McDaniel Wright. She was a retired computer operator with Centra Health and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Burks is survived by her daughter, Karen B. Sirignano and her husband Al of Pittsboro, NC; three sisters, Charlene W. Stone of Indianapolis, IN, Betty W. Burks of Evington, and Lucy W. Walls of Murray, KY.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at White’s United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles E. Johnson, Jr.
officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
