

Kathleen “Kitty” Conner Probst, 99, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, August 14, 2017, at her residence. Born June 16, 1918, in Thaxton, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Lee Conner and the late Carrie Spangler Conner.
Kitty was a retired quality control engineer (44 years) for Chapstick/Merchandising Company and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She received an achievement award for her volunteer services (40 plus years) for the Credit Union Movement and the Virginia League Central Credit Union.
In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by five brothers, Alfred Conner, Vernon Conner, Maitland Conner, Percy Conner and Tracy Conner; and two sisters, Audrey Callaham and Ocie Carson.
Kitty is survived by her nieces and nephews, JC Conner of Cartersville, Helen Vest of Richmond, Tom Carson of Lynchburg and Audrey Tyree of Lynchburg; and numerous great nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2017, at Concord Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation hours at the funeral home, yet family and friends are welcomed to visit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church.
