Mr. Ellis (PAPA)) was a man that I enjoyed to visit as his pastor and just talk and we had some great spiritual discussions. He was Spirit filled man with a desire for others to be saved. I know his family will miss him, His church and the world has lost a precious soul but heaven has a new resident for eternity. Love you and will see you one day in glory land!

Brother Ellis was a godly man, and a godly mentor. I will always cherish the times we spent together on visitation. Mr. and Mrs. Eli's were faithful in their service to the Lord for many years at Calvary Cross Baptist Church. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

I am one of those boys way back in the early 70's when Bro.Ellis was teaching us Sunday school lesson's in a bus divided by plywood and his wife Mary was teaching the girls on Campbell Ave. Church was Calvary Cross Baptist Church. His teaching has always stuck to my mind and heart and eventually led me to Christ. I will surely miss him, he was funny as well as a wonderful Christian man. I'm sure he will have many Crowns.
