Kenneth Edward Lloyd

Born on June 13, 1936 in Halifax County, he was the son of the late Carl Edward Lloyd and Ada Coates Lloyd. Kenneth served our country in the United States Army and he retired from Lance, Inc. He enjoyed fishing but would hunt on occasions and he enjoyed his morning breakfast meetings with friends at Hardee's. Kenneth’s true passion was his love for his grandchildren and watching them play many sports. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Edward Lloyd, Jr.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Kathi Hogan and husband Marty of Amherst County; his son, Ronnie Lloyd and wife Lisa of Rustburg; daughter-in-law, Donna Lloyd of Concord; seven grandchildren, Carrie Lloyd, Katelyn Lloyd, Jonathan Martin, Amanda Hogan, Stephanie Hogan, Tabitha Lloyd, and Andrew Lloyd; two great grandchildren, Addison Martin and Carlton Wesley Martin; former wife and caregiver, Brenda Lloyd; and numerous cousins and other family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 16.
