

Born on October 28, 1931 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Verna and Frank Wade. Kenneth grew up at Hughes Memorial Home in Danville, VA and served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955 in the Air Police. He worked for B & W for 35 years. Kenneth was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church and Mtn. View Church of God. He taught Sunday School for 30 years and sang in the choir. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, visiting his grandchildren, sitting on the front porch, and a good home cooked meal.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Caviness and his sister, Joyce McBride.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Sharon Jones and husband Randy; two grandchildren, Luke Jones and wife Keri and Kyle Jones; brothers, Buddy Caviness and Michey Caviness; and his very best beloved friend, Shirley DuVal.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Bob Michalides officiating and assisted by Rev. Amy Beth Coleman. Entombment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1 pm.
