

Born May 9, 1941 in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas Epps, Sr. and Mabel Arendall Epps and was also preceded in death by a son, Mark V. Hayslett; two brothers, W.T. Epps, Jr. and William L. Epps and two sisters, Juanita E. Shields and Peggy E. Palmer. She was a member of Tree of Life Ministries.
Mrs. Hayslett is survived by one daughter, Angel D. Hayslett; one son, Michael A.A. Hayslett and wife, Gracie; one grandson, Apollo E.H. Hayslett, all of Lynchburg and one brother, Ronald D. Epps and wife, Anne of Rustburg.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Tree of Life Ministries with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m.
Kitty, our mother and mother to many others will be remembered for her relentless generosity, support, and love for us all. She was a humanitarian to her final days and set the example to live by. We’ll miss you, but, you will never be forgotten and will forever be in our hearts.
