
Born in Lynchburg, September 24, 1948 he was a son of Harold V. Haynes of Altavista and the late Christine Yeatts Haynes. Larry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf and supporting the University of Virginia and the Indianapolis Colts. He proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam.
In addition to his father, he is survived by three sons, Grant Haynes and wife Angela, Matthew Haynes and wife Jessica and Zachary Haynes; one daughter, Taylor Haynes; one brother, William V. Haynes and wife Penny; one sister, Sharon Lowman and husband Bobby; four grandchildren, Ashby Haynes, Whitney Haynes, Kross Haynes and a great grandchild, Jayden Webster.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. C. Douglas Pillow officiating.
