

Born in Lynchburg, January 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John William Snow and Elsie Mae Almond Snow.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two aunts, Lucy Almond Watts and Mary Snow Conwell.
She is survived by three sons, John Wayne Tweedy and his wife Diane and Ryland Mitchell Tweedy and his wife Jean all of Rustburg and Marc Leland Tweedy and his wife Gloria of Evington; one brother, Johnnie JaDene Snow and his wife Shirley of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, Preston Tweedy, Kimberly Rankin, Jill Tweedy, Jacqueline McKelvey, Julie Justice, Jason Tweedy and Amanda Tweedy; seven great grandchildren and was looking forward to her eighth in January; her cousin Palmer Conwell and his wife Frances of SC and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
Footsie was a homemaker most of her life and loved taking care of the home. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed passing down her passion for cooking to other members of the family. She was a longtime member of Fairview Christian Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at New Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Barrett and Jason Tweedy officiating.
Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Church.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the wonderful caregivers who helped Footsie over the years.
