Lewis Thornton Dudley Jr., 63, went home to be in eternal rest in Heaven. Born in Lynchburg on December 24, 1959, he was the son of Lewis and Allie Dudley. He was the loving husband of the late Rhonda Dudley.
Lewis was a painter by trade and loved to paint as a subcontractor. He loved his customers and really got to know them well as he took care of their painting needs. He loved to eat and his favorite food was seafood, especially the fresh seafood from the beach. He even loved the restaurant called Hibachi and the food they served.
Lewis was an avid beach goer and always enjoyed looking for shark teeth on the beach. While staying at the beach he would find peace and contentment there.
He loved his grandkids and spoiled them a lot. He would love to eat with all the family because it was so special to him.
Lewis even loved plants and would cultivate plants as a hobby.
Lewis leaves behind his memories and love to his daughter, Christy Dudley and her boyfriend, Mathew Seevers, and his son, Shaun Dudley. His memories are left to cherish by his grandchildren, Brenden Dudley, Destiney Dudley-Seevers, and Tristen Dudley-Seevers. Lewis also leaves his love and memories for his girlfriend, Tammy Willis Maxey and her children, Samantha Maxey, Joshua Maxey, and Caleb Maxey. He also leaves behind his sisters, Linda Dudley Brewer and her husband Todd and Wendy Dudley Matthews and her husband, William.
Lewis is preceded in death by his wife Rhonda and his parents, Lewis and Allie Dudley.
Private family service will be scheduled at a later time.
