Linda Ruth Nelson Brown, 57, of Forest, died, Sunday, October 30, 2011, at her residence. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael Donald Brown. Born August 4, 1954 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Rodger Woody Nelson and the late Marion Kerr Nelson.
Linda was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Linda was also a member of the Great Dane Rescue Society.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by two sons, Forest Brown of Forest and Woody Brown and his wife Karen of Lynchburg; one daughter, Amanda Layne and her husband Michael Webber of Altavista; one brother, Stephen Nelson and his wife Betsy of Lutherville, MD; and four grandchildren, Ashton Brown, Jesslynn Brown, Chase Brown and Lexia Brown.
A memorial service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Rick Magee officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service until 2:30 p.m.
