

Linda Ballowe Cassidy, 66, of Lynchburg had the greatest opportunity to be present with the Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at her residence. She will be sadly missed by many. She was the wife of James Walter Cassidy. Born December 15, 1948, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Ford Ballowe and the late Alice Vest Ballowe.
Linda was a homemaker and a member of Tree of Life Ministries. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother and great grandmother. Linda touched everyone’s hearts and was unforgettable. She put a smile on everyone’s face. She had a bubbly personality and was an inspiration to everyone no matter where she was. She was loved by many. She was a caretaker most of her life taking care of people. She had led many to the Lord whom she also loved and is now in His presence. Linda had many opportunities to travel to many places. She loved the beach, where she and James loved to ride their boat in the water.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sons, Terry W. Clements and Lewis A. Fralish, Jr.; one sister, Virginia Ballowe Maddox.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her children Sherry Lambert and her husband Gerald of Lynchburg, Jerri Clements Baker of Lynchburg; stepson, Barney Ussery of Lynchburg; one brother and best friend, Charles Ballowe and his wife Bonnie of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Victor Meeks and his wife Lisa, Christopher Farr, Lynn Wolter, Kerri Goodman, Eric Farr, Brenda Clements, all of Lynchburg and Sarah Fralish of North Carolina; five great grandchildren, Victoria, Torin, Trevor and Layla Meeks and Jacob Farr; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Cassidy and his wife Evelyn and their four children of Cleveland, OH and Jack Cassidy and his wife Nealy and their three children of Lynchburg; and several nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Tree of Life Ministries with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service form 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Tree of Life Ministries and at other times at the residence.
The family would like to thank Seven Hills Hospice, Tree of Life, UVA Doctors and many friends and family that helped throughout this long battle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tree of Life Ministries and the American Heart Association.
