Linda Darnell Day

Linda Darnell Campbell Day, 59, of Lynchburg, died, Thursday, August 25, 2011, at her residence. Born August 12, 1952, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Ruth Mays Campbell and the late Joseph Raymond Campbell.

Linda was a homemaker, and a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by one son, James Day, Jr.; three brothers, Raymond Campbell of Silver Spring, MD, Phillip Wayne Campbell of Seattle, WA and Terry L. Campbell and his wife Rita of Lynchburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2011, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Melvin Campbell officiating.

The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence of Terry and Rita Campbell, 5640 White Oak Dr., Lynchburg, VA, 24502.
