Lois Hall Callahan

Lois “Lady” Hall Callahan, 83, of Evington, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Autumn Care in Altavista. She was the wife of the late Carl Ralph Callahan. Born April 12, 1934 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late James Joyce Hall and Ethel Adkins Hall and was also preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie and Timmy; one daughter, Marilyn; four brothers, Leslie, Wayne, Louis, and Larry Hall and two great grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Evington. Mrs. Callahan is survived by two daughters, Delores C. Hall and husband John and Bridgett C. Irby, all of Evington; three brothers, James Hall (Joanne), Gordon Hall (Linda), and Gene Hall; two sisters, Marie Bennett and Dale Hall (Burger); a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hall; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Salem United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Schooler officiating. Interment will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (noon) and other times at the home of her daughter, Delores.
