Lois Templeton Tomlinson Knight

Born in Bedford County, August 24, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Tommie Lou Templeton and Mary Jones Templeton. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years, Preston DuPont Tomlinson and her second husband of 14 years, LeRoy Knight. She was a member of Tyreeanna United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Esther. T. Robertson; her son-in-law, C.E. “Ted” Robertson; one brother and three sisters.

She is survived by one son, Preston Earl Tomlinson and his wife Kathy of Evington; one daughter, Faye T. Rutledge and her husband Ken of Concord, one sister, Christine T. Campbell of Evington; six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by five step-children and numerous step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Danny Holdren officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be private.
