I have the fondest memories of your whole family, and I always thought your mother was such a sweet, godly lady. I was part of the old Taylor Road "little rascals" including Steve Bryant, Pam Kavanaugh, Bobby Lockridge,
Frank and Warren Crist, Benny Harvell,and other assorted waifs that congregated around that wonderful place. You may remember, Mrs. Harker kept my sister and me a period of time while Mom and Dad worked.

I was very sorry to hear of the loss of Janet's dear grandmother. I did not know Mrs. Harker, but I know you, Janet, and so I know she must have been a very special lady to have such a wonderful, faith-filled granddaughter.

Aunt Louise will always hold a special place in my heart of all the Sloan Family gatherings. She was a Christian Lady. I am Blessed to have had a wonderful aunt as her. As a member of Beulah Baptist church during my "growing up" years, I have fond memories of the leadership and inspiration provided by Mr. and Mrs. Harker within the church community.

She was the Matriarch of Beulah and will be missed by all who knew her.  I have fond memories of her taking care of Jamie and I when we were growing up in Richland Hills.  I always loved going to her house, and I remember enjoying watching her make homemade apple sauce.  You are all in my prayers as you adjust to life without her. I never ate a vegetable until I sat at Louise's table. What a woman. How many fabulous meals, how many "go to town, go to town, ride the billy goat lead the hound" rhymes as she lovingly, laughingly cared for so many darling children? She cherished them all! She was full of grace. Her own works will praise her in the gates. My prayers are with all the Harkers. I know you loved her very well.

I am so pleased I was able to visit her a few years back to express my gratitude & share the impact her kindness had on me. May God be ever so close during this most difficult time.
