Mabel Faye McDaniel Walker, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born April 2, 1931 in Putney, KY, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Lula Cornett McDaniel. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Walker is survived by two sons, Steve Walker of Lynchburg and Jeff Walker of Rustburg; one daughter, Janice Bowes of Grand Isle, VT; five grandchildren, Bryan, Ryan, and Tiffany Walker and Hannah and Holly Bowes and two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Chase Walker.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Briarwood Memorial Gardens in Amherst with the Rev. Bill Price officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
