Margaret Hill Almond

She was born on March 15, 1927 in Lynchburg to the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hill.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers; four sisters; and one great granddaughter.

Margaret was a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Her special love was her grandchildren, her sewing and working in her yard.

She is survived by her daughters, Darlene A. Trogdon and Susan A. Smith and her husband Tim; a brother, Walker E. Hill and wife Patricia as well as six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Burleigh officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to offer their special thanks to Margaret’s granddaughter, Marcia Rosser, her great granddaughters, Victoria Rosser and Skylar Page and a special friend, Anna-Marie McCartney, for their years of special love and care they gave to Granny.
