Obituary of Margie Sarah Beach
Margie Sarah Gray Beach, 95, went to be with her Lord Monday, October 14, 2019. Born in Anderson Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John Sherman Gray and Ruth Goad Gray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles W. Beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy came in serving Christ and her family often in the form of home-cooked dishes that became legendary favorites. Every season of her life was dedicated to caring for children, whether her own, or those in the church. In her final days, she was surrounded by those she loved, singing hymns and praising Jesus. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Parker and her husband Ronnie, Sandra Mikilia and her husband Adam and Sharon Smith and her husband Eric; five grandchildren, Ronnie Parker Jr. and wife Julie, Tammy Dupin and husband Jon, Erica Geffken and husband Andy, Andrew Mikilia and wife Sarah, and Emily O'Donnell and husband Ryan and 15 great-grandchildren Emma Parker, Chloe Parker, Landyn Dupin, Stephen Parker, Ethan Dupin, Chase Dupin, Gwyneth Parker, Brandon Parker, Rhett Geffken, Luke Parker, Flynn Geffken, Ivy Geffken, Hayden Parker, Lila Geffken, and Adelaide O'Donnell. A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Jon Dupin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Quantico National Cemetery. Mema has impacted past and current generations by loving the children and pointing them to Jesus. Our hope is that, by honoring her life in this tangible way, her love for Christ and the children will continue to live on for generations to come. With that in mind, the family requests that those wishing to make memorial contributions consider donating to the Margie Beach Memorial Playground fund at Waymaker Church in Forest, Virginia.
