
Born March 17, 1923 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Bernard and Ella Stinnett Cyrus. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Augusta “Boots” Coleman and one brother, Switchman L. Cyrus. Mrs. Marston was retired from General Electric. She was a volunteer at Lynchburg General Hospital and a member of Memorial Christian Church.
Mrs. Marston is survived by her son, Randy C. Marston and wife, Anne, of Chesterfield; her daughter, Diann M. Martin and husband, Jimmy, of Altavista and four grandchildren, Alissa A. Marston and Ian T. Marston of Chesterfield. James M. Martin, Jr. and wife, Marnie, of Richmond. Ellen M. Dorman and husband, Erik, of Lynchburg. One great grandson, Ethan S. Dorman.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012 at Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. Virgil Knipp officiating. Entombment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday, for one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon.
