

Born October 31, 1931, she is the daughter of the late Henry Grady Wood and Mildred Wooldridge Wood. She was preceded in death by many family and friends.
Marian, affectionately known as “Nana”, treasured her family. She loved going to the mountains, bird watching, tending to her home, landscaping and volunteering at her church. She is a faithful member of Lynchburg First Church of the Nazarene and maintained an infallible relationship with Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior
Marian is survived by her four children: Wanda W. Flores of Lynchburg; Richard T. Wade, Jr. of Glen Allen, Susan W. May of Spout Springs, and Curtis Brent Wade (Patti) of Spout Springs, and her beloved best friend and Sister Dorothy W. Hill of Lynchburg. Grandchildren include Breanne Dean (Eric), DJ Oliver (Desiree), Brittney Flores, Joey Flores, Corey Flores, Brescian Wade, Daniel Wade (Hannah), Shasta Japp, Cody May (Khin), Steven May, Curt Wade (Samantha), Nicholas Pfarner and many great-grandchildren.
The family is blessed and would like to extend their appreciation to Susan “Tootie” May for providing Mama with the best possible care in the last year of her life. Also, to Charlie Davis for his daily support of Susan, and his kindness and caring to Mama. Senior Independence Home Health & Hospice provided for the compassionate, dedicated care of Marian and the family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 11, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Stephen Willis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
