

Marilyn Tanner Drummond, 81, passed away in Stafford, VA on August 13, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on November 20, 1931 in Winchester, IN and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Tanner.
Marilyn was a member of Memorial Christian Church for over 55 years, and served in positions of responsibility throughout her membership there. She had a love of music and sang in the Church Choir as well as being a requested soloist at local events. Marilyn was a member of the Fort Hill Women’s Club and area golf and bowling leagues for many years. She loved to travel and visited many countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean and throughout most of the United States and Canada.
Marilyn is predeceased by her first husband, John S. Dossett; second husband, Carl N. Drummond, Sr.; daughter, Sherry Lee Stone and step-daughter, Deborah Sensabaugh.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael S. Dossett, Durham NC and Mitchell S. Dossett, Stafford VA; her step-son, Carl N. Drummond, Jr., Fort Wayne, IN; her brother, John Tanner, and sisters, Jean Hollingsworth and Marjorie Welbourn, all of Winchester IN. Marilyn was blessed to have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Whitten Funeral Home, Timberlake Chapel, on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Virgil Knipp and the Rev. Sue Knipp officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a private burial service for the family at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
