Marjorie Rhodes Baker

Born on January 14, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. Rhodes and Iva Dawson Rhodes.

Marjorie retired from Craddock and Terry and also worked at the Rustburg and Gladys Mini Mart. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church. She loved her dogs and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Rae Crist and son, David Wayne Stephens.

In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by her son, Daryl Layne “Tex” Stephens and wife Virginia; daughter-in-law, Judy R. Stephens; grandchildren, Brian Stephens, Lee Crist, Linda Rice and husband Billy, Tina Sprouse and husband David, and Buddy Stephens; great grandchildren, Ashbey Crist, Skylar Stephens, Jasmin Stephens, Kendra Brown, Kara Eidson, Anthony Brown, Randy Sprouse, Dusty Sprouse, and Tyler Stephens; one great great grandchild, Courtney Sprouse; and a very special young friend, Austin Walker.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Wesleybury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gladys, with Rev. Don Bryant officiating.
