Born in Lynchburg, September 13, 1934, he was a son of the late Spencer James Weigand and Mary Chilton Weigand. He was a retired cabinet maker from Star Mark. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing in his off time. Mr. Weigand proudly served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff Weigand and his wife Beverly and Richard Weigand and his wife Robin all of Evington; one brother, Leo Weigand and his wife Jean of Amherst; one sister, Carol Kierson of Richmond and two grandchildren, Logan and Morgan Weigand.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
