She was born on May 4, 1934 in Lynchburg, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Layne.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Brunk as well as two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by four children, Sylvia Tolley (Chuck), Veda Farrar (Mark), Gloria Lewis (Ron) and Randall Brunk (Travis); seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
