

Born on October 27, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward Koch and Mary Fleming Koch.
Mary served our country in the United States Navy. She retired from Kroger’s as a cashier and she enjoyed working with her hands by painting, knitting, crocheting, and doing ceramics.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Sue Ann S. Hancock and husband Douglas of Appomattox; two grandsons, Marshall Wade Hancock and wife Jessica and Christopher Douglas Hancock and wife Serena; four great grandchildren, Samantha J. Hancock, Sonya J. Hancock, Maddie Hancock and Wade Timothy Hancock.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
