Matt was born in Anthony, West Virginia, March 30, 1965. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and later the US Army reserves. He was the owner of Burns CNC Art. He was a skilled metal fabricator and a true craftsman. He was an active member of Moose Lodge 1727 and an active member of Norwood Baptist Church.
Matt is survived by his wife, June Marie Burns; six children, Kyle Owen (Carolyn), Matthew Burns (Lauren), Michele Barnes (Matthew), Amanda Musgrove (Brian), Casey Owen (Olivia) and Gabe Burns; nine grandchildren, Nicole, James, Nolan, Grace, Addie & Kylie Owen, Preston and Bennett Barnes and Ryker Musgrove; six siblings, Velvie Bennett, Anthony Burns, Howard Coldiron, Mary Katherine Naillon, Debbie Windsor and Mark Burns and his beloved dog, Nala.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Snedegar and brother, Dennis Coldiron.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A memorial service to celebrate Matt’s life and faith will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Norwood Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Stump officiating.
