Born February 25, 1994 in Lynchburg, Matthew is survived by his mother, Valerie Michelle Duval and her husband Christopher M. McGee of Blue Ridge; his father, John Michael Carter of Bedford; his Grandmothers, Nellie Carter Young and Marie Armstrong Zimmerman; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews all of Bedford and Lynchburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, John Willie Carter, and Roland Edward Duval. Matthew was very special; he was loved so much, by so many, and he will be in our hearts and minds forever.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502. At 8 pm a brief sharing of memories will be held.
