She was born on September 4, 1930, daughter of the late George Washington Martin and the late Mattie Booth Martin Adams. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, George Thomas Martin.
Mattie was retired from Medical Facilities of America and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Her life was all about her family. Other things that she enjoyed doing were eating out and going to church.
Survivors include 6 children, Mattie Louise Leonard (Frank), Betty Jean Viar, Thomas Earl Hudson (Susan), Kathy Marie Hancock (Hanna), Randy Wayne Hudson, and Patricia Ann Moore (Brian). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Carlton A. Duck officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 1:30 at the funeral home.
