

Born in Clintwood, November 5, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Silas James McFall and Lou Swindell McFall. She was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Club. She was an exceptional gardener, quilt maker and Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Holiday McFall, Tolley McFall, George McFall, John McFall and Gerald McFall and three sisters, Miriam Willis, Janet Meade and Opal McFall.
She is survived by her son Steven Layne of Evington; her daughter, Lou Moses and her husband Randy of Evington; one brother, James Gordon McFall of Clintwood; two sisters, Lillian McFall Miller of Lima, OH and Georgia McFall Perkins of Hindman, KY; three grandchildren, Lawrence Moses, Jr. and his wife Joelle of Edgewood, MD, Rebecca Jackson and her husband Matthew and Robert Layne and girlfriend Krystal Ellis; three great grandchildren, Fox, Zen and Levy Jackson and a number of nieces and nephews from the east coast to the west coast.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Schooler, the Rev. David Torrance and the Rev. Norman Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

The family would also like to gratefully acknowledge Jane Tolley, Doris Hall, her many friends and neighbors and the staff of Centra Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
