Born on October 10, 1946, in Lynchburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Herman Gower Hudnall and Violet Arbutus Bell Hudnall.
Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Taylor; his second wife, Sandra Drumheller; his brothers, David Thomas Hudnall, Charles Daniel Hudnall, and Ralph Alexander Hudnall; and his grandchild, Sara Marie Swarts.
Mike enlisted in the United States Army in 1966 and served his country in Vietnam.
He had a special love for children and the holidays. Halloween and Christmas were among his favorite times of year, and he found joy in bringing smiles to the children in his life. He could often be found playing Dracula at Halloween or dressing up as Father Claus at Christmas.
A beloved father and brother, Mike enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. He was an avid dart player and enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, camping, baking cakes, cooking, and watching westerns.
Mike is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Hudnall and Stacey Hudnall; his sister, Carole Honig (Edward); five grandchildren, Anthony, Michaela, Avannah, Dustyn, and Chelsey; three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Brantley, and Dom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services have not been scheduled at this time and will be held privately at the request of the family.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but, while we are here, we might as well dance.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mike’s memory to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at www.cmn.org.
