He was born on April 21, 1935, in Greenville, Ohio, son of the late Pierre and Juanita Cole. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Louise Hammond Cole.
He is survived by 3 sons, James Jeffrey Cole and wife Peggy, Matthew Sterling Cole, and Steven Robert Cole and wife Becky; 1 sister, June Royer; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
