Milton Ronnie McKenzie

Milton “Ronnie” McKenzie, 56, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at The UVA Medical Center. Born on November 8, 1959, in Martinsville, he was the son of the late Starling “Baby Ruth” McKenzie and Frances Price McKenzie.

Ronnie attended Stepping Stones Day Support in Martinsville and also Harmony Day Support in Lynchburg. He achieved being able to live independently through Clay Adult Home in Martinsville from 2009 until 2013. He then lived at the Cabiniss Caring Home in Lynchburg. Ronnie was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chatham, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gary D. Mckenzie.

Ronnie is survived by his brothers, Alfred L. McKenzie of Chatham, and William S. McKenzie of Martinsville; sister, Cynthia (Lisa) Perkins of Lynchburg; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Tyler Millner officiating. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, 2412 Greenpond Rd, Chatham, Va.
