Minnie Catherine Manuel Mason

Born December 7, 1925 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin Manuel, Sr. and the late Lillie Callahan Manuel and was also preceded in death by a sister, Adelle Manuel Mason and a brother, Walter Franklin Manuel, Jr. Mrs. Mason was of Methodist faith and enjoyed watching Pastor Jonathan Falwell on television every Sunday. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her son, Gary Mason and wife Sandy of Gladys; three grandchildren, Melissa Book and husband Ted Book, Jr., Charlie Mason and wife Kelley, and Daniel Mason and wife Kathryn and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Manuel Family Cemetery in Evington with Elder Ted Book, Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
