Nancy Privette Combs

Nancy Privette Combs, 53, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the daughter of Janice Hailey Privette and the late Calvin W. Privette, Sr.

She leaves behind a daughter, Tammy Combs Tyree (Warrick); son, Kevin E. Combs (Pam); two grandchildren, Brett Combs, and Bryson Allen, all of Lynchburg; brother, Herbert E. Privette (Melissa) of Newport News; three nieces, two nephews, two great nephews, one great niece; and special friends, Valerie and Amanda Musgrove, Robin May, and Kyle Owen.

Nancy enjoyed sewing and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She is of the Episcopal faith and attended church until she became too ill.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the medical intensive care unit for the care given to Nancy and for their kindness shown to our loved ones during this time.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at Janice’s residence, 257 Greenwell Court, Lynchburg, VA 24502.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with The Very Reverend Catharine Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
