While we will miss her dearly, we know she’s in Heaven having a wonderful reunion with her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Layne Waller; father, Harry Edison Waller and her baby brothers.
In Nancy’s younger years she raised dogs, breeding and selling them over several years, for which she was well known. Later in life, Nancy started collecting things which she became very knowledgeable about!
She had a talent for fixing old and broken watches. She also liked having flowers growing in the yard and would often dig up wild flowers and transplant them anywhere and everywhere.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Leonard D. Cowart; son, Barry N. Cowart (Melanie) and daughter, Valerie L. Cowart (William Bryant); grandchildren, Raeleen Dix (Mark), Donnie Cowart (Jessica), Kerry Cowart (Lindsay) and Ashley Cowart and her great grandchildren, Payten, Keyten, Haley, Jenna, Leah, and Camilla.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Animal Shelter/Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, 322 Dennis Riddle Drive, Rustburg, VA 24588.
