
Born January 13, 1923 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Robert William DePriest, Jr. and Katie Mitchell DePriest Davidson and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Annie D. Denton and Mattie D. Wray.
She was retired from the Campbell County Public Schools, where she worked in the cafeteria for many years. She was a member of Gladys Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. Kerr is survived by her children, Robert W. Kerr of Lynchburg, Bonnie K. Windsor, of Gladys, Phillip E. Kerr and wife Betty of Lynchburg, and Judith A. Palmer of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Nadine Durbin, Allan Kerr, Debra Kerr, Russ Windsor, Diane Foster, Dawn Stanley, Scott Kerr, Samuel Palmer, and Steven Palmer.
She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, Sarah, Aaron, Emilie, Tiffany, Amber, Ivy, Desiree, Gabrielle, Madalyn, Danielle, Paige, and Carson; four great-great-grandchildren, Keagan, Sadie, Lillian, and Leah; a special niece, Delama Gowen, special friends, Joan Menge and Bruce McFaden and a number of other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Christ Episcopal Cemetery on East Ferry in Gladys (Rt. 701) with Pastor John H. Rhodenizer officiating.
