

Norma Poole Roberts Campbell, 88, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, November 09, 2015, at The Edley Place. She was the wife of Carl E. Campbell. Born August 23, 1927, in Winston-Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Walter Poole and the late Gretta Johannson Poole.
Norma was a retired secretary for Babcock and Wilcox Company and she was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by one son, Wilson “Dee” David Roberts, Jr. and one brother, Ralph W. Poole, Jr.
In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by two children, Malcolm J. Roberts and his wife Vickie of Lynchburg and Pauline R. Shinn and her husband Stephen of Littleton, NC; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Roberts Carter of Richmond; six grandchildren, Leilani Gilliam and her husband Steve, Jeremy Roberts, Zachary Roberts and his wife Jennifer, Cameron Lonnemann and her husband John, Jacob Brown and his wife Lemma and Lucas Brown and his wife Jessica; seven great grandchildren, Wilson, Drew and Grant Gilliam, Landyn and Harrison Roberts and Noah and Hanna Lonnemann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Bailey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
