

Born in Campbell County, August 28, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John Moses Jordan and Eugenia Holmes Waller Jordan. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Onnie was a homemaker and faithful member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hubert, Robert, Jesse and Johnnie Jordan; four sisters, Ada Jordan, Janie Jordan, Bernice Clay and Hessie Wheeler.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Wilkinson and her husband Ben and grandson, Thomas Wilkinson all of Lynchburg, two nephews Ronnie Jordan (Brenda) and Rayford Jordan (Penny), one niece, Adele Guthrie, four sisters-in-law Edith Jordan of Brookneal, Virginia Martin of Lynchburg, Dot Wilkerson of Appomattox and Edythe Martin of Colonial Heights.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Randy Bower with burial at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Whitten Timberlake Chapel from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 and other times at the home of Ben & Anne Wilkinson.
The family would like to express their gratitude and sincere thanks for the wonderful care Onnie received at home the last two years from her two caregivers, Carolyn Cassidy and Marie Andrews.
The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.
