Paul Neal Adams, 76, of Hurt, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Liona Brumfield Adams.
Born in Buckingham County, March 12, 1935, he was a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Adams. Mr. Adams was a retired plumber.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicky Mathews.
He is survived by four daughters, Diane Robertson and her husband Jimmy of Lynchburg, Betty Martin and her husband Ronnie of Evington, Gail Sherlin and her husband Tommy of Lynchburg and Sue Reid and her husband Thomas of Evington; one son Mike Adams of Lynchburg; two sisters, Bertha Bennett and Druesy Meyers; two brothers, Harold Adams and Clayton Adams; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a special friend, Edith Hodges.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 in the Brumfield Family Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Walkup and Doug Roakes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the home of his daughter, Betty Martin.
